After exam, Chapter 7, Backbone Networks |
In the second module, we continue to explore the OSI/ISO Model. In specific, we learn about the Data Link, the Network, and the Transport Layers. We then learn about Local Area Networks along with the Wireshark Protocol Analyzer.
During this module, we learn more about layer two and layer three functions. Specific learning topics include relevant TCP/IP family protocols such as ARP, UDP, TCP, DHCP and DNS. Network layer functions including routing and addressing are also covered.
We will also learn about the hardware that operates at these levels such as switches and routers.
